These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of generateqr.org and the QR code generator provided by GenerateQR ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
GenerateQR lets you create static QR codes for free with no account. You can also create a free account to save codes and make dynamic QR codes that you can edit and track. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Acceptable use
You agree to use GenerateQR lawfully and not to create QR codes that:
- Link to or contain malware, phishing, or other harmful content.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Promote illegal activity, fraud, or abuse.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
Your content and codes
You are responsible for the content you encode and the destinations your codes point to. You keep any rights you have in that content. Static codes you generate are yours to use for personal or commercial projects.
Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You can close your account at any time.
Static and dynamic codes
Static codes store their data directly and are permanent, so they cannot be edited once created. Dynamic codes point to a short link we store for you and keep working while your account is active. You can read more in our guide on static and dynamic QR codes.
Third-party destinations
A QR code opens whatever destination you set, such as a website, a payment page, or a WiFi network. We are not responsible for third-party destinations or services your codes point to.
Intellectual property
The GenerateQR name, site, and design are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding beyond using the tool as intended.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every code will scan on every device or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. Always test your codes before printing or publishing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenerateQR is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or the codes you create.
Termination
We may suspend or end access to the service for anyone who breaks these Terms or misuses the site.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date below. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where GenerateQR operates (fill in your governing law and venue).
